Confirm the address and handover
In developing estates, mapping and street information can lag behind construction. Share the full address, estate name, nearest cross street and any builder or handover access instructions.
Check street and driveway access
Construction vehicles, temporary restrictions, narrow verges and limited kerb parking may affect where a moving vehicle can stop. New driveways can also have steep transitions or restrictions before final completion.
Coordinate settlement timing
Avoid relying on an exact arrival window before keys and settlement are certain. Build contingency into the day and keep essential items accessible if handover is delayed.
Prepare the property
- Confirm power, water and internet activation.
- Protect new flooring where appropriate.
- Label boxes by room before loading.
- Keep loading paths clear of landscaping, bins and building materials.
- Provide photos of restricted parking or unusual access.
